Pink nail designs never go out of style. There are so many different ways you can style a pink manicure.
You can keep it simple and just pick a shade of pink that fits your personality, or you can add some nail art to it to really express yourself. The possibilities are endless.
In this article, we will look at some pretty pink nail designs that are totally worthy of re-creating.
Some of them are so easy that anyone can do, while some may require either a trip to the nail salon or some serious practice with a nail art brush.

Painted Undersides
You don’t need to be a nail artist to have artistic nails.
Pretty pink nail designs can be as simple as painting the undersides of your nails. It’s such a pretty and subtle way to level up your manicure.
It is especially pretty when you add glitter underneath a crème nail polish.
The sparkles bring added happiness to an already beautiful manicure and you can really have fun with the color combinations you choose.
You can re-create this look by painting your nails a semi-dark purplish pink and painting the other side of your nails with gold glitter.
If glitter is not your thing, I have also seen this done with crème nail polish combinations such as black or white with red painted underneath. The contrast is amazing and it looks so pretty, yet edgy still.
This is a style that can be changed up in so many ways, and it’s easy enough for anyone to DIY.
Skittles Mani
Ah yes, the beloved skittles manicure. So simple, yet so effective. Paint your nails in order from dark to light, either way.
Another one of the easy pink nail designs.
With so many pinks to choose from, you can stick with cool toned pinks that are more on the purple side or the warm toned coral type of pinks. Choose shades that compliment your skin tone the most.
I love pink but not every pink loves me, you know what I mean? Some of it makes me look washed out. I have to choose wisely.
The pale pink skittles mani is making waves everywhere.
I’m not surprised, as pastel pinks are so pretty for the spring and summer months. Well, all year really, but this is when we seem to get the most joy out of them.
If you don’t like the gradient look, you can just paint some of your nails one shade of pink, and the rest another. You can do this randomly or in groups.
Who knew it could look so good with 3 darker pink nails and 2 light pink nails?
I’ve seen this look done with a lot of different colors, but there is something about the softness of the pink that makes me love this one so much.
Can’t decide which pink to wear? Choose both, or all. Why not?
I would definitely add this to my list of favorite pink nail designs.
Add Polka Dots and Stripes
Polka dots and stripes are being used in all types of different manicure looks and for some reason it never seems to get old. In my opinion, at least.
There are so many different ways it can be done, whether it is right over the color you are wearing or some black polka dots or stripes over a white accent nail or 2.
It amazes me that something so geometrically simple can add so much cuteness to the look.
But although it sounds simple, stripes can be one of the hardest things to paint on a nail if you want it to come out perfect.
It can be very difficult to get a super straight line that is the same exact thickness throughout the whole thing.
Luckily, now you can get a stamping plate to help out with this dilemma. You can find one that simply has stripes to cover the entire nail, either diagonal or horizontal.
Polka dots, on the other hand, are very easy as you probably already know. If you don’t want the stripe hassle, you can skip it and it will still look very pretty.
These pink nail designs can be done using a simple nail dotter that you dip in the nail polish and place the dots wherever you desire.
These dotters also come in different sizes so you can change up the size of your polka dots.
If you don’t own a dotter, you can use the end of a bobby pin or even a toothpick as a replacement and it will work just fine.
Pink French Mani
French manicures are back, but in color. Put a pink twist on French manicure for some seriously sweet vibes.
You can add gold to your pink tips as shown for a manicure that still looks professional enough for work but is also unique and fun.
Or you can use 2 different shades of pink, as long as they contrast enough to be visible.
Dark pink with light pink tips is quite eye catchy and light pink with dark pink tips is a bit more toned down but still very noticeable and trendy.
Or, you can try my personal favorite, which is black tips over any color. I like a little edge to my manicures.
Matte Black Splatter
Speaking of adding black, you can add tiny black painted speckles over any color you wish and finish with matte top coat for this ultra modern look.
They don’t have to be perfect at all, the less perfect the better as long as they vary in size.
This is one of my favorite pink nail designs and looks amazing with colors other than pink as well. Especially when there is a pretty contrast.
Black looks good with everything. This has the vibe of glitter nails but subtract the glitter and add some edge.
Get creative and put it over a gradient manicure or have fun combining it with glossy finishes.
Heart Accent
This type of look has been trending for years.
We are back to the stripes and polka dot thing again with black and white accents, and you can see how this variation works so well.
There is something about painting objects over black and white stripes that is just so cute.
I have tried this design myself with both hearts and anchors (because it also works very well for the nautical look) and I always love it.
Just one small dot at the cuticle of the pointer finger helps pull this look together and the heart over the stripes tops off the look.
And while hearts can be difficult to paint, if you have large size dotters, you can make 2 dots for the top of the heart and drag the paint down into a ‘V’ shape with a nail art brush for the bottom of the heart.
Geometric Pink Nail Designs
At one point in time, the trend for accent nails was only carried out on the ring finger, but now people are switching it up and it’s even better.
Throw in a geometrical look and you’re ready to go out. Matte top coat is a plus.
To re-create this design may be tricky if you aren’t used to using a nail art brush, but with practice it is possible.
Paint a thick ‘V’ sideways on both sides of the nails you want to decorate. Follow that with 4 thin ones and add the stone of your choice to the center.
Top it off with matte top coat or leave it glossy.
Using a bright fuchsia pink nail polish looks amazing next to the black and white.
X’s and O’s
This design is just more proof that black and white designs look amazing over pink nail polish.
I love the way some of the hearts are filled in with white.
It can be hard to outline a shape, so when I do something like this, I usually make a solid black heart first and then a slightly smaller solid white heart inside of it.
It comes out looking perfectly outlined.
You will definitely need a small nail art brush to create a manicure like this.
Pink Flamingos
People everywhere have been combining their love of pink and their love of animals, and the result is a lot of pretty pink flamingo manicures.
These flamingos wouldn’t be too difficult to paint if you have a little bit of patience and a tiny brush.
Start by painting half of a heart and then a half circle at the tip of the nail.
Fill in the belly with another half circle in a lighter pink shade. Paint a white spot at the top end followed by a tiny black pointed spot.
Use a tiny dotter to add a white dot and a smaller dotter for the black pupil dot in the center.
Paint a few tiny eyelashes if you want.
Even if this design doesn’t come out perfect, chances are it will still look cute!
Pink nails have definitely been around forever, but the new modern twist on the look gives this trend such a fun vibe.
